- International Education Conference Announcement: SACHESThe Southern African Comparative and History of Education Society (SACHES) Annual International Conference will be held on 31 October to 2 November 2009, in the picturesque Winelands of the Western Cape at Stellenbosch, South Africa, followed by two days of excursions and educational visits. The Kenton Education Conference follows on the SACHES Conference, 5 to 8 November 2009, making it possible for delegates to attend two consecutive conferences. The SACHES Conference will have a broad theme, the role of key stakeholders in African educational advancement – academia, policymakers, teacher education, teachers unions, education departments, NGOs/CBOs and other civil society structures.
